Megumi Fushiguro, on the other hand, is a gifted sorcerer and a student at Tokyo Jujutsu High. As the inheritor of the Ten Shadows Technique from the Zenin clan, Megumi can summon powerful shikigami—divine dogs, Nue, and even the formidable Mahoraga. Unlike his father, Megumi’s strength lies in strategy and technique. He is intelligent, reserved, and constantly evaluating risk versus reward in battle.
Their encounter happens under extraordinary circumstances. Toji is resurrected temporarily through a seance technique, his body acting purely on instinct and combat drive. Unlike his living self, this version of Toji operates almost like a weapon, drawn toward the strongest opponents nearby. When he senses Megumi’s potential, he attacks without hesitation, unaware at first that he is facing his own son.
From the start, the difference in raw power is overwhelming. Toji moves with blinding speed, closing distances instantly and delivering crushing blows. Megumi struggles to keep up, relying on his shikigami to create space and opportunities. Divine Dog lunges, Nue strikes from above, and shadows shift strategically—but Toji cuts through each defense with brutal efficiency.
What makes this fight compelling is not simply the power gap, but Megumi’s composure. Despite being outmatched physically, he does not panic. He adapts. Megumi uses his shadows cleverly, attempting to trap or distract Toji rather than confront him head-on. Learning that Megumi kept the Fushiguro name and was not fully consumed by the Zenin system brings a rare moment of peace to him.
In a stunning act of clarity, Toji chooses to end his own life rather than continue fighting. This decision marks a profound contrast between father and son. Toji, who lived as a man outside the jujutsu world, driven by instinct and survival, makes one final choice as a father. Megumi, unaware of the full truth in that moment, is left confused but alive.
In terms of combat, Toji clearly outclasses Megumi in raw ability. His physical strength, speed, and combat experience surpass Megumi’s current level.
