The temple floor cracks beneath the impact. But Asta doesn’t stay down. With gritted teeth, he grabs his massive Demon-Slayer Sword and swings upward, canceling Vetto’s beast magic. For a moment, the monster is pushed back — but only slightly.
Vetto laughs, a booming sound that echoes through the chamber. “No matter how you fight… despair always wins.”
Asta refuses to accept it. “I’ll never give up! Not until I become the Wizard King!”
That simple declaration is what makes him dangerous. It isn’t that Asta is the strongest — it’s that he never stops moving forward.
The fight escalates. Vetto releases his full power, his third eye blazing as his body swells with magic. His blows grow so fast and powerful that even Asta’s anti-magic blade struggles to keep up. Then Yami, the Black Bulls’ captain, arrives. With his Dimension Slash, he cuts through Vetto’s final curse and frees his squad from destruction. But it was Asta’s relentless will — his refusal to surrender — that made that final moment possible.
As Vetto collapses, he stares at the young magicless boy who defeated him. In his final breath, he still clings to despair — but it’s clear that something about Asta’s light has shaken him.
